If you made a big tiny detail you want to showcase, using depth of field might be the tool you need.

How to enable depth of field (with video)

  • Go to the Lens sidebar tab
  • At the top , click the checkbox next to "Focus Blur"
  • To tell the camera where to focus, click on the mockup while holding down the Option (⌥) key
  • Adjust the amount of blur using the f-Stop and Height fields

Animating the focus point

You can animate the focus, or focus distance to make the non-blurry part travel smoothly across the mockup. Here's how

  • Adjust the focus point by ⌥ + clicking on the mockup where you want the camera to focus
  • Create a new keyframe
  • Adjust the focus point by ⌥ + clicking on the mockup where you want the camera to focus
  • and so on

  • Click the keyframe you want to change
  • Adjust the focus point by ⌥ + clicking on the mockup where you want the camera to focus

Removing the depth of field effect

  • Go to the Lens sidebar tab
  • Remove the checkmark next to "Focus Blur"
